Doctoral Network

About:

The CinTurs PhD Network aims to stimulate the three main research areas of CinTurs by:

  1. Promoting the integration between all CinTurs research members and its doctoral students;
  2. Creating an environment to provide support and increasing a multidisciplinary approach to science;
  3. Stimulating the cooperation and assistance the PhD students need during their education.

Main activities:

  1. PhD Net Talks: seminars and workshops focused on addressing topics and tools that can help PhD students during their PhD journey;
  2. Acquaintance & Match-making Sessions: meetings to support the PhD student's current studies or research challenges, providing moments for relaxation and exchange of ideas, enabling strengthening relations, and building a base for possible future collaborations.
  3. Feedback & Evaluation Sessions: aims to hear the PhD students' voices to be more effective in the upcoming years.
  4. Regular Activities: disseminating information about conferences or other opportunities; supporting students with paperwork or regulations; mentoring activities; welcoming visiting PhD students and representing the PhD Net at scientific events.
  5. Field Trips & Informal Meetings: organise tourism-related field trips or informal social events to get to know colleagues and increase cooperation and harmony.
