MISSION

Our mission is to generate and share knowledge in Tourism and Hospitality, for supporting management decision-making, aiming to promote the sustainable development of tourist destinations across their environmental, economic, and sociocultural dimensions and to enhance the well-being of tourists, host communities, and those working in the tourism sector.

VISION

Our vision is to become a R&D Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality.  We envision a collaborative environment where researchers from different disciplines work together towards the sustainable development of tourist destinations and the well-being of their stakeholders. Through these endeavours, we aim to enhance the position of the University of Algarve as a globally recognized leading institution in the field.
