Award

Saúl de Jesus was distinguished with the Career APP Award for Research in Psychology. Every 3 years, the Portuguese Association of Psychology (APP) assign the Career Research Award in Psychology, seeking to "recognize a Portuguese researcher whose research career in Psychology has decisively marked the research in this area." This is considered the most prestigious Award in Psychology in Portugal. Article (in Portuguese).

Cláudia Santos, Elsa Pereira e Margarida Mascarenhas, CinTurs researchers, have been distinguished in Prémios Ciências do Desporto with an honorable mention in the category "History and Sociology of sport".

Award

Adão Flores and Elsa Pereira, CinTurs researchers, have been awarded the Emerald Literati Award 2018 for Outstanding Author Contribution.

The chapter Entrepreneurial Ecosystems was published in Knowledge Transfer to and within Tourism (Bridging Tourism Theory and Practice, Volume 8), Emerald Publishing Limited. 

Since 2010, the Outstanding Author Contribution Awards have been rewarding authors who have contributed something new or of significant value to the body of knowledge, either in terms of approach or subject matter.

Award

The article Depression and quality of life in older adults: Mediation effect of sleep quality published in the International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology, was nominated and obtained the second place in the Atlas Elsevier awards. Each month the Atlas Advisory Board are sent a selection of 10 articles to choose their winning Atlas article. The articles are shortlisted by Elsevier from across journal portfolios based on their potential social impact.

Award

João Guerreiro, full professor of the University of Algarve and CinTurs researcher, was distinguished with a Scientific Merit Medal. The medal was presented by the Prime Minister, Dr. António Costa, during the event Ciência 2018 and aims to honour the important work developed by scientists.
