Dr Scott Cohen has joined CinTurs as an integrated member. Professor of Tourism and Transport with over 20 years of academic experience, his research mainly focuses on societal issues in the contexts of travel, mobility and transport, with particular interests in hypermobility, sustainable mobility, autonomous vehicles and in business and lifestyle travel. Dr Ana Cristina Pego has joined CinTurs as an integrated member. PhD in Geography and Territorial Planning. Author of more than 20 articles and 5 books on sustainability and energy, circular economy and ecosystems, and tourism development. Coordinator of Horizon Europe projects, as well as Prima and Interreg. She is also a researcher in the fields of agriculture and sustainability projects related to water management and the circular economy. Read more.
CinTurs has recently joined the Rede do Empresário, a digital platform composed of several companies and institutions
that offer a wide and varied range of products and services to meet the
most diverse needs. The Rede do Empresário stands out by its Business
and Science Networks (BSNs), collaborative groups that aim to
operationalise collaboration between industry, universities, research
centres and the government through joint projects. Read more.
The School of Economics of the University of Algarve (FEUAlg), in collaboration with the research centres CinTurs and CEFAGE, organised the seminar “Regenerative Tourism: The Case of Salema Eco Camp” held on the 26th of November at the FEUAlg. This initiative was part of the Masters in Tourism Economics and Regional Development, and Tourism Organizations Management of FEUAlg. Read more.
