Scott Cohen is a Professor of Tourism and Transport with over 20 years of academic experience. His research mainly focuses on societal issues in the contexts of travel, mobility and transport, with particular interests in hypermobility, sustainable mobility, autonomous vehicles and in business and lifestyle travel. Read more.

The School of Economics of the University of Algarve, in collaboration with the research centres CinTurs and CEFAGE, is organising the seminar "Regenerative Tourism: The Case of Salema Eco Camp", to be held on the 26th of November at 10.30 am in the Sala de Atos, located on the 2nd floor of the FE UAlg, Campus of Gambelas, Faro. Read more.

 

 

 

FCT has announced the launch of the "FCT Mobility" program, aimed at supporting the international mobility of researchers. The program will fund medium- and long-term stays for national doctoral researchers in foreign institutions and for foreign doctoral researchers in national institutions who are looking to carry out research activities and/or fieldwork. Read more.

The Observatory results of a protocol between the Algarve Regional Tourism Board, the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission, the University of Algarve, and the Tourism of Portugal and, since 2020, is part of the International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories of the World Tourism Organization. Read more.
